- it's not going to do any good to reduce the interest rate any lower. the people that keep the economy afloat are the average working stiff that is now out of work, broke, or just getting by. we don't have any money to spend because the high-rollers have already cleaned out our wallets.

- the way i see it is, we have about 300,000,000 people in the country. with the original "bail-out money" they could have given about a million dollars to each person to pay off mortgages, depts, and have plenty of money to keep spending to keep the system afloat.
